Farmingdale, NY 11735Dear Pinelawn:
For a number of years I have been putting off the purchase of my grave because I found it very uncomfortable and disturbing to take this necessary step. I did however, complete a post card which came to my home because I found this first step to be somewhat less threatening than being at the cemetery.
One day, I received a visit from Len Barbero. At that time, I did not want to return to this matter and wanted to turn Mr. Barbero away. However, he was most professional and made me so comfortable during our conversation that I invited him into my home for further discussion.
If it were not for me meeting Mr. Len Barbero, I do not think I would have followed through with the purchase. Mr. Barbero made everything regarding the purchase comfortable, easy to understand, and he had the ability to present all the facts in a rather light manner. Although I find comfort in visiting the graves of family members at Pinelawn, it can be rather threatening searching for your own grave, and Mr. Barbero was able to take the discomfort away while we visited a few possible sites. I know that I was a difficult customer, but Mr. Barbero always remained patient. Although he always remained professional, I had the feeling that I was making this decision with a friend than with a sales representative, and I know that the advice he gave to me was the right advice.
What a relief it is to me to have finalized this matter. I am at ease every time I make my payments for my grave and stop to read the card that was enclosed in my packet which read, Someone Will Thank You Someday. The first time I read this card, I reflected on my father who made purchases of family graves at Pinelawn. I certainly appreciated what my father did and someday my children will appreciated what I have done and somehow this makes everything easy and right.
Very truly yours,
Madelaine F.
